Many people are extremely intresed on what web 2.0 exactly is: according to Wikipidia
Web 2.0 is a term often applied to a perceived ongoing transition of the World Wide Web from a collection of websites to a full-fledged computing platform serving web applications to end users. Ultimately Web 2.0 services are expected to replace desktop computing applications for many purposes.
However, according to Tim O'Reilly who first coined the phrase 2.0 it is: " the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the internet as platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform. Chief among those rules is this: Build applications that harness network effects to get better the more people use them."

Some good research and a good relevant link - I guess I threw you in at the deep end a little bit with this. Do you have a clearer idea of what Web 2.0 is about now?
